Adoption Journeys
Adoption Journeys provide specialized post-adoption support to families. This service is available to all families living in Massachusetts who have finalized adoption or legal guardianship. Services are focused on the dynamics, joys, and challenges unique to the adoption/guardianship experience.
Our experienced post-adoption specialists offer a range of free services provided through our five regional offices and include:
Adoption - focused Individual Family Support
Home-based counseling, consultation, and advocacy with community support systems.
Support Groups
For parents and youth.
Social Activities
Community outings designed for family relief and community building.
Family Liaison
Direct parent-to-parent or family-to-family connections.
Childcare Respite
Limited funds available to offset childcare costs.
Information / Referral
Telephone support for adoption information and resources, community referrals, and consultation.
Community Trainings
Adoption-competency trainings available to providers and families.
This is a voluntary service. Families can join in whichever services best meet their needs at any time.
