Family Intensive Therapy Program
The Community Service Agency (CSA) serves children and adolescents who are at risk of hospitalization due to behavioral health issues by using the strengths of the youth, family, team, and community.
Family Intensive Therapy (FIT) is a short-term, intensive, team-based service that helps youth with mental health challenges stabilize–typically within 4-6 months and helps to avoid hospitalization.
A Clinician, Paraprofessional, and Family Partner work together to provide therapy, care coordination, and family support. Sessions are held 3-5 times per week based on the need. Services are provided in any convenient location.
FIT services focus on preventing the youth’s admission to an inpatient, residential or other higher level treatment setting. Sessions are designed to enhance and refine the family's capacity to improve the youth’s functioning in the home and community.
The FIT team works closely with the family to deliver comprehensive support including:
Safety planning and comprehensive assessment
Solution-focused treatment with measurable goals
Support for parenting, communication, and risk management
Family Partner support with system navigation
Collaboration with schools, providers, and agencies
Coordinated care across medical, educational, and social domains to ensure holistic support
