Terms and Conditions
If you are legally authorized to access to another person's health information you may be given access to their myHealthPointe account, subject to these Terms and to the extent allowable by applicable law
Parents/Legal Guardians
Parents (and legal guardians) can access the health records of their children who are under the age of 18; Various federal and state regulations may prohibit sharing certain categories of a minor's health information with anyone but the minor.
Each parent should have a separate portal account
Each parent can add all of their children to their myHealthPointe portal account
Once a child turns 18, parents will no longer have access to the child's records unless the parent is still their legal guardian; once a child turns 18 the child can grant access to their parent to restore access. To retain access, the parent must be the court ordered legal guardian and submit guardianship documents. If the parent has other children under the age of 18 on the account, these records will remain available. The client can sign up for their own account if they don't already have one.
Guardianship
If you are the court-appointed legal guardian of a child over the age of 18, you will need to provide guardianship documents to Child & Family Services, Inc. to retain portal access. Without guardianship documents, we cannot provide portal access to the parents of children over the age of 18.
