Guidelines for Shopping

When shopping for families to donate to, focus on buying essential items like food, clothing, and hygiene products that are versatile and suitable for various ages. It’s important to consider the specific needs of the families, such as seasonal clothing or baby supplies, and to prioritize quality over quantity to ensure the donations are both useful and durable. Additionally, avoid purchasing any perishable items.

Drop Off:
Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Further information regarding drop off times/location will come with your sponsor sheet

Gift Wrapping:
Please be sure to wrap all gifts and label them with names and the family’s HHP number

Food Cards (do not send food items):
This year, we’re requesting food cards for families to purchase their preferred food. Please consider the family’s size when buying cards. Place food cards in a separate envelope labeled with the family’s HHP number.

Family Time:
Keeping families active and together is key. Gift certificates to family restaurants and video stores, movie tickets, tickets to shows and events, and disposable cameras for memories help accomplish this goal.

Household:
Bath towels, kitchen towels, dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils are helpful.

Warmth:
Pajamas, blankets, coats, hats, gloves, socks, and scarves are great for all ages and are greatly needed.

Hygiene:
Personal hygiene items are useful and thoughtful. These include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, hairbrushes, and gift certificates to stores where undergarments could be purchased.

Education:
Books, puzzles, writing supplies, arts and crafts, and learning games are great.
