MCI Program Information

What is the purpose of the MCI program?

MCI provides services for anyone in MA experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Instead of going to the ER, MCI services allow anyone going through a crisis to either walk into a CBHC or call for a team to come to their location and access immediate mental health care and determine the best path forward.

How does the MCI program help?

MCI helps by providing

  • Referrals and linkages to behavioral health services and supports, including access to appropriate services along the behavioral health continuum of care
  • Safety Plans developed in collaboration with patients and their support systems
  • Follow up services can be in person, virtual or by phone
  • Family Partners, Recovery Coaches and Peer Specialists with lived experience are available to assist and collaborate
  • Psychiatric consultation and urgent psychopharmacology intervention, as appropriate

Who makes up the MCI program?

The MCI Team is made up of Master's Level Clinician, Clinician Assistants, Peer Specialists, Family Partners, and Recovery Coaches. All are available to help with the communities' behavioral health needs, 24/7, 365.
